Sample Character Sheet
I made up a sample sheet of what a level 1 character should look like, see it here:

Basic Rules of Thumb:
You’ll all start with a 1 in every stat, you can then add up to 12 additional points in any stat, raising it up to any level (on the sample sheet I just put multiple 1s for hash marks)
You get a ‘character class’ free, on the sample it’s External Magic. You may then get 1 maneuver/spell you can use in combat (or whenever) and then 1 you can only use out of combat (probably because it takes a while to cast, or requires complete concentration). You then get 2 ‘freebie’ spells/maneuvers that can be of either type. You cannot create a character that has ALL spells/maneuvers that are classified as in combat or out of combat. Out of combat spells or maneuvers can be slightly more powerful than in combat spells to compensate, and can even help out in combat, provided you cast them ahead of time (meaning you have time to prepare).
In regards to the Skill trees and how many you get, I’m gonna have to get back to you on that, as I think I’m actually going to have it cost the same amount of points as the old method of character creation, but I’m not sure how much to budget for a level one character. I put some skills on the sample sheet just so people can see how many they should expect to get, and to remind everyone of how they work out (starting off general, and progressing into more specificity)
