I’ve resurrected most of the old site functionality. There are some weird bugs to work out but everything should be as it was, minus the event calendar, which as it turns out was slowly killing the code.

    OK, how was the calender slowly killing the code? I don’t want it in layman’s terms for everybody else. I want it in factual technical geek just for me. Cause in all honesty, code doesn’t “die”.

    Would you like some help with the code?

    The event calendar stopped working with later versions of wordpress. I managed to work around the bugs until the last few updates, when it started bricking the wordpress code. The calendar code itself is pretty gnarly and isn’t directly supported by anyone anymore. I couldn’t even get a specific error to track down what exactly was going wrong until I found some other people having the same issues. Basically the event calendar I had installed is not supported anymore so we would need to find an alternative.

    I just went and checked and I guess there was an update in late june that claims to fix these problems. I’ll throw it in and see if the new version works.
