So that I can be edumacated. Yes.
And when I am done, I will insist that you all call me Master Barrett. I think that’s appropriate.

I believe Master Barrett is MY title. We’ll settle this the only way I know how–log rolling!
But seriously congrats. That’s a pretty fucking huge deal. I hope you’re doing something fun to celebrate.
I’m not sure whether to congratulate you, or feel sorry for you. So I’ll just say good luck!
For what? Writing? Education in Education on how to Educate Educators?
Also, I’m pretty sure we’ve been calling Cathy “Master Barrett” for years now. Maybe “Baron Barrett?”
I didn’t even know you were applying. Or are you announcing that you’re going to start applying? If so, where? And when do you plan on going? What will you study (don’t pick Law!)?
But other than that, congratulations!
Definitely NOT going to law school, so no worries there.
I only applied to one school this time around, Concordia University in Portland. I kept it on the down low mainly because if I didn’t get in, it would have sucked to tell everyone that. I am going for my Master’s in Teaching (at the high school and middle school level). I will get two subject specific endorsements, most likely English and Spanish because the Spanish will widen my job prospects A LOT.
The program is only 11 months, so I am starting this June and will be done by May of 2013. It’s also really small, only 18 to 25 students are admitted every year. I liked Concordia because of the small community feel, much like the experience I got during my undergrad at Linfield.
